Ginger Hislop is a Utah native, currently residing in Salt Lake City. She began dancing at the age of 7 and started teaching by 18. Her training has taken her across the country, including Los Angeles and two summers in New York City, where she worked with world-renowned educators and choreographers. Her performance credits include multiple YouTube productions, a televised performance for the 2014 Special Olympics Opening Ceremonies, and numerous local performances throughout Salt Lake City. While in college, Ginger danced for and later directed her university’s dance company, where she choreographed, produced, and curated appearances as well as the annual end-of-year production. Currently, Ginger has found her passion in teaching heels technique and choreography. She continues to train virtually under the guidance of Kayla Brenda through Bodylove and draws inspiration from that community of strong, empowering women. If you take Ginger’s class, you’ll never skip a strong warmup, you’ll always get a taste of some heels fundamentals whether you’re a beginner or just need a brush up on your skills. Ginger believes that confidence comes from putting in the work, and when you come to her class she will guide you through so you feel confident when you walk out of the door.
